How to install AoL(Android Over Linux) image

   - AIMAX series

 

 

The default factory condition is that the Linux firmware is not installed.

The steps to install Linux firmware are as follows.

 

1.How to install Linux firmware over OTA.

 

Move to ATV Setting ==> Linux

select "Linux use " to enable Linux

Move to Online upgrade/backup mene to download AOL image

Select "Reinstall by Online" menu

This Linux firmware will show only when you select Linux enable on above menu.

Select Linux to download file.

Linux image will be dowloaded

 

Select OK to upgrade Linux image

 

After upgrade linux firmware, Check Linux operation status 

check box IP address

 

 

1.How to access Linux system by Shell or Putty program.

 

ID : root

initial password : androidoverlinux

Putty to access Linux system (Put STB IP Address to access)

Select Yes to enter with SSh key at first connection

ID : root

initial password : androidoverlinux

Put ID/Password

Select Region to use Debian update server

 

Select right input language code

Change default password to prevent BOT

 

Ready to use Debian Linux

ssh root@IP address of STB

Now ready to use Android Over Linux
